Parx Casino Shippensburg has said that it is contributing $100,000 to 16 local charities, the property announced late last week, with the casino volunteering the sum across multiple state-based not-for-profit organizations. Presenting the list of the charities, the company said it is donating as part of its charity drive & efforts in 2025.

Parx Casino Shippensburg Remains an Important Contributor to Local Communities

Among the selected companies were: Vigilant Hose Company, Shippensburg EMS Shippensburg Police Foundation, West End Fire & Rescue, CV Hose Company, Shippensburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Cumberland Valley Community Connections, D.O.I.T (Downtown Organizations Investing Together) and others.

Ron Davis, director of diversity and community development at Parx Casino, was similarly pleased to see the company contribute to several great charities and community organizations.

“As a company we are always focused on sharing our success with the community. For 2025, Parx increased and expanded the donation list to be the largest number of donation awardees to date – including many first-time recipients,” Davis explained.

Overall, Parx Casino Shippensburg has donated a total of $400,000 to date to various community partners in the Greater Shippensburg region.

In the meantime, Parx Casino has been approved to build a new luxury hotel in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, looking to expand its commercial footprint in the Keystone State.

Looking ahead, Parx Casino plans to maintain this momentum, focusing on sustainable growth and community investment.

Parx Committed to Leaving Its Mark on Local Economies

The new luxury hotel should contribute to the local economy further by creating hundreds of jobs, attracting more visitors, and further enhancing the brand’s role as a key player in Pennsylvania’s entertainment and hospitality industry, which will come with more charitable initiatives of its own.

The total amount that Parx Casino has donated to various community initiatives and charities in Pennsylvania is not readily available but it runs in the millions of dollars as the brand first launched its charitable drive in the state in 2007, shortly a year after it had introduced the Philadelphia Park Casino and Racetrack in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, its very first property in the Keystone State.
