MGM China Holdings Limited, a leading casino and hospitality giant in Macau, has unveiled a new salary increase that will affect most of its workers. The company thanked its workers for their hard work and incredible commitment, which have driven continued business growth.

MGM China Recognized Its Workers’ Contributions

According to MGM China’s official announcement, a 2.5% increment will be awarded to 99% of its entire workforce. The company added that its team members who currently receive a monthly salary of or less than MOP 16,000 ($1,995) will receive a standard salary adjustment of MOP 600 ($75). This would represent an increase of between 2.5% and 5.5%, MGM China clarified.

The company confirmed that the salary increase will come into effect from March 24, 2025. It added that the increment represents the leadership’s recognition of the employees’ hard work and incredible contributions to the business.

The salary increase announcement comes several weeks after MGM unveiled a holiday bonus for 95% of its team members. The company confirmed that the bonus will be equivalent to one month’s salary and will be distributed by Chinese New Year (January 29, 2025). This move was mirrored by other Macau concessionaires who likewise sought to recognize their workers’ efforts.

MGM Hopes to Bolster Macau Tourism

Pansy Ho, MGM China’s chair and executive director commented on the salary increase, extending the company’s “heartfelt gratitude” to the people who make the business possible and move forward “hand in hand with the company.”

She added that 2025 will see MGM back the special administrative region’s plans to bolster and develop the tourism sector.

In the new year, MGM will fully support the policy implementation of the SAR Government as always; pragmatically promote the development of all-for-one cultural tourism, while working with the team to continue to enrich the essence of Macau as ‘One Center, One Platform, One Base’.
