An executive recently confirmed the possibility the project to offer two gaming spaces, one large casino area and a second private gaming area located on a high floor
Late last year, Wynn Resorts, the leading gaming, hospitality and entertainment company, made history after securing the first commercial gaming license in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for its Wynn Al Marjan resort. While initially, the company confirmed that the resort would be the home of one casino, an executive suggested that there may be additional gaming areas.
Wynn Al Marjan May Offer Two Separate Gaming Spaces
Late in November, Wynn released an update for its Al Marjan hotel and casino resort, confirming that it is 55% complete. The massive development, once completed, is expected to offer more than 1,500 hotel rooms.
One of the resort’s centerpieces would be its casino, spanning 224,000 square feet. Further amenities will include nearly two dozen restaurants, dining outlets and lounges, as well as an entertainment venue with more than 900 seats. However, according to newly released information, there may be additional gaming spaces at Wynn Al Marjan.
That was confirmed by David Loiseau, Wynn Al Marjan’s VP of sales, who recently spoke at the Exotic Wedding Planning Conference taking place in Ras Al Khaimah, as reported by Skift. “There will be two or three areas when it comes to gaming,” the executive explained. Loiseau hinted that a sky gaming casino may be built on the 22nd floor in addition to the main casino floor. He added that Wynn remains focused on ensuring that Wynn Al Marjan is a go-to entertainment venue.
“We’ll have a sky gaming casino on the 22nd floor and the main casino. We’re putting all the ingredients together to make sure that entertainment will be at the heart of this destination.“

A Private Gaming Area Will Be Established on an Upper Floor
Following the conference, Wynn Resorts elaborated further regarding the remarks of the executive, explaining that currently there is a plan for a casino on the 22nd floor. However, a third gaming area is not considered, at least based on the current plans.
Still, the second gaming area is undoubtedly going to boost the attractiveness of the luxury resort. Mirroring its presence on the Las Vegas Strip, Wynn seeks to establish a second “private” gaming space. “In addition to the main gaming floor, there will also be an upper floor private gaming area, or salon privé, which is common in integrated resorts,” explains Wynn Resorts’ statement on the matter.
Loiseau spoke about the range of entertainment and other amenities the hotel and casino resort is expected to offer. “I’m not saying we’re bringing Las Vegas to Ras Al Khaimah but it’ll be something along those lines,” he added.
This week, Tilman Fertitta, the famous billionaire, announced he raised his stake in Wynn to more than 10%. As a result, the billionaire is now considered as a “business insider” for the leading casino and hospitality company.
