MGM Resorts International announced a collaboration with First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO), to offer customers a new credit card that would allow holders to earn up to 6x points and tier credits in the casino operator’s rewards program.
MGM and FNBO Reveal the New Premium Card
According to Anil Mansukhani, Vice President of Loyalty Marketing for MGM Resorts, the company is marking a significant step forward in the evolution of its MGM Rewards program. Developed in partnership with Mastercard and FNBO, the new credit card expands benefits for both gaming and non-gaming guests, offering enhanced opportunities to enjoy the signature, world-class experiences that define the MGM Resorts brand.
Jerry O’Flanagan, Executive Vice President at FNBO, echoed that enthusiasm, saying that the company is thrilled to partner with MGM Resorts in offering benefits tailored to their cardholders’ lifestyles. “By elevating the way our customers engage with MGM’s incredible offerings, the MGM Rewards Iconic World Elite Mastercard provides members with access to dream experiences,” O’Flanagan explained.
John Levitsky, Co-President, United States for Mastercard, explained that the company is excited to partner with MGM Resorts International. Mastercard promises to offer cardholders exclusive Priceless Experiences that add exceptional value to their everyday lives as MGM Rewards members. Levitski also explained that the partnership introduces payment innovations backed by Mastercard’s secure network, while delivering valuable benefits designed to elevate the guest experience at every MGM destination.
What Does the Card Offer?
The card, which comes with a $250 annual fee, comes with various benefits for its holders who decide to spend money in any MGM Resorts properties, which number more than 20 across the US. Owners will get points and tier credits based on what and where they spend money. For example, holders will get 6X Points & Tier Credits for every $1 spent at MGM Rewards Destinations. In addition, they will also earn 2X Points & Tier Credits per $1 spent at hotels, dining, gas stations, and grocery stores. Finally, owners of the card will get 1X Point & Tier Credit per $1 spent everywhere else.
In addition, cardholders will receive a $200 resort credit upon opening a new account, as well as annually on their account anniversary. Those who use the new casino card for larger purchases can unlock additional perks, including 10,000 tier credits and a complimentary one-night stay, valued at up to $250, at participating MGM properties, provided they spend at least $25,000 on the card within a year.
To top everything off, holders will benefit from Mastercard’s global network. This includes rewards and benefits of Mastercard World Elite, which span travel, entertainment, and lifestyle. Holders will gain access to a complimentary 24/7 concierge service that acts as a personal assistant for travel, dining, and special requests worldwide. In addition, they will benefit from Mastercard’s security services, as well as various other travel perks.
