A water line break at the Sahara that occured during construction work and caused interruped water services has been repaired.

Guests and workers at the Sahara said they had been without water since about midday Wednesday. According to a statement from the resort-casino, survey work being done around the property resulted in a breached water line.

The Sahara said in a statement posted to X around 6:30 p.m. Thursday that the line had been repaired, and that “service to all hotel rooms, public restrooms, bars, and entertainment venues has been fully restored.”

“We are enormously grateful to our guests for their patience and our Team Members for their hard work and commitment to delivering SAHARA’s signature hospitality during the process,” the resort-casino said.

Additionally, Sahara said that select restaurants have “returned to normal operations.” Bazaar Meat, Balla Italian Soul, The Noodle Den, and Chickie’s & Pete’s are expected to reopen Friday.

Guests who were waiting in the lobby on Thursday said the resort gave out water bottles to use for personal hygiene as well as muffins and fruit on the lobby floors. Cafe services near the lobby as well as some bathrooms near the casino floor were closed midday.

Clark County officials said a portion of southbound Paradise Road near Sahara Avenue — behind the resort — was closed to about Karen Avenue to clean up water and silt from the water leak that occurred.
