Law enforcement in Massachusetts, Nevada, and the United Kingdom are looking into separate events connected to casinos. These range from an unknown body found in water to a deadly fall and an armed theft.

Body Found Near Encore Boston Harbor

Police in Everett, Massachusetts, began an inquiry after someone recovered a body from Boston Harbor close to the Encore Boston Harbor casino, reported WCVB. Casino security reported the find around 11 a.m. on February 8. The Everett Fire Department and Massachusetts State Police helped to retrieve the remains.

Officials described the victim as a Hispanic man between 30 and 40 years old. Investigators noted he came to Stateline that day on a bus from Los Angeles. The man died from injuries caused by the fall. Doctors declared him dead at the scene.

Authorities are using fingerprint and DNA analysis to confirm his identity. They later identified him as Daniel Tovar, 31, from Pomona, California. An autopsy will reveal more about how he died.
