A pair of adults have been apprehended after leaving a six-year-old girl in a Honda CRV for about 45 minutes while they gambled inside the Parx Casino
Two adults were found guilty of having abandoned their daughter in the parking lot of the Parx Casino in Pennsylvania.
The pair had left their six-year-old girl outside in the parking lot in a Honda CRV car for approximately 45 minutes before security staff discovered the girl inside. The outside temperature at the time of discovery was in the low 20 degrees, roughly -7 degrees Celsius.
After the girl was discovered, a security guard was able to trace her parents who were inside the property and gambling at table games, various media reports said. The adults, To Yeung and Chunyahn Wang, both 44 from Brooklyn New York have been charged with child endangerment.
The girl was not originally returned to her parents but sent to unidentified relatives. As to Wang and Yeung, they appeared in court on Monday at Bucks County Magisterial District Court Judge Joseph Falcone.
They have been issued $3,000 bail bonds and released from custody. It is not immediately clear what the consequences for the adults would be and whether they will face prosecution once they travel out of state.
