Taylor Mathis, a well-known social media figure and DraftKings ambassador, finds herself in hot water. People accuse her of manipulating the crypto market with a digital currency named after her, $TAYLOR

Taylor Mathis Faces Market Manipulation Claims as $TAYLOR Token Value Crashes

Mathis, famous for her “Walking Bets” videos, promoted the token to her many followers. Critics claim she then sold her share when prices peaked causing the value to plummet. This has sparked heated debates about possible market manipulation and put her future with DraftKings in doubt.

The drama kicked off when fans made the $TAYLOR crypto and asked Mathis to back it. She said yes to promoting the coin if she got 20 million tokens, which was 2% of all the coins. After she posted about it on social media, the coin’s value shot up fast hitting a top market value of $6 million. Mathis’s support seemed to cause this jump making her share worth about $120,000. But when the price was high, Mathis sold what she had changing her tokens to 95 SOL, which was worth around $16,350. This sale happened at the same time as a big drop in $TAYLOR’s value.

The quick fall in price and what she did next got people talking. Many think she might have pulled a classic “pump and dump” trick. This is when someone hypes up an asset to drive its price up and then sells off their own shares. Mathis says this is not true. She claims such tricks were not possible and promised to give any money from selling tokens to charity.

Taylor Mathis’s DraftKings Partnership in Question Amid Locked Social Media Account

Later on, Mathis bought back 34 million $TAYLOR tokens at a lower price. This move made people even more suspicious. All of this has put her team-up with DraftKings under a microscope and made people wonder what is really going on.

As people got angrier, Mathis locked her X (formerly Twitter) account and took out all mentions of DraftKings from her profile. This hints at a possible split from the sports betting company. DraftKings has not made any official comments about the situation yet, but Mathis’s quiet behavior and profile changes suggest her ambassador role might be under review. Her recent updates show she is upset about what happened. Mathis says she feels hopeless and claims someone hacked her iCloud after making threats.

The event has sparked different reactions from her fans and the crypto world. Some people showed concern and offered encouragement, while others slammed her behavior and doubted her grasp of crypto markets.
