The launch of Electric Poker in Pennsylvania was prompted by the incredibly positive player response in Michigan
DraftKings’ Electric Poker has forayed into its second state, allowing millions of new players to enjoy one of the operator’s freshest gaming products. The innovative poker game will now be available to players in Pennsylvania, allowing them to play unparalleled online games.
Electric Poker Goes to Pennsylvania
Electric Poker was launched earlier this year. First available only to players in Michigan, the title will now be available to players in Pennsylvania as well, demonstrating the operator’s ambition to launch it in extra markets.
The game bears similarities to other online poker products but it also employs a few new mechanics. Electric Poker is based on a standard 3-handed game of No-Limit Texas Hold’em but also features prize pools based on a random draw and two-minute blind levels.
The game also sports a namesake Electric Mode, which is automatically triggered after a while and forces players to go all in, further boosting the overall engagement.
Buy-in levels range from $1 to $25. Players are matched against others depending on their buy-in sizes. Prizes range from 2x player’s buy-ins to a maximum of 10,000x. While bigger multipliers are fairly rare, they provide players with a shot at huge payouts.
Prize distribution in Electric Poker is largely dependent on the randomized multiplier. In 4x games and below, the winner claims the entire prize. Multipliers between 5x and 10x split the prize between the top two players. Multipliers of over 100x, on the other hand, provide something to all participants.
Players in Michigan Loved the Game, Prompting Its Expansion
Electric Poker is one of the products exclusive to DraftKings Casino. The operator’s online brand was launched in 2018 and is currently live in the states of Connecticut, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The online casino is also available to players in the Canadian province of Ontario.
Jason March, DraftKings’ vice president of iGaming, commented on the matter, saying that Electric Poker is an innovative exclusive game that players will be unable to find anywhere else. He added that the launch in Pennsylvania was prompted by the incredibly positive player response in Michigan.
After positive feedback from our players in Michigan, we are thrilled to expand our Electric Poker offerings to our customers in Pennsylvania, delivering them a best-in-class online poker experience.

In other news, DraftKings just expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Dijon Systems, a subsidiary of Mustard Systems. The deal aligned with the company’s ambition to bolster its golf betting capabilities.
