It is really a difficult task to create columns. If you created a proper column you may , , and we shall insert it into our columns database. Then it will be available to some other users of the program .
Suppose that you wish to follow headings of business news on NY Times
- Push "Build new column" button.
- Choose "Create Web-column".
- Enter "New Times (Business)" in the "Title" field.
- Enter in "URL" field (you may copy it from the address line of the browser).
- Push "OK".
- Then appears edit dialog of column properties.
- Go over to the "Search" tab (choose "Search" from the list at the left side).
- Create new search pattern (push button "Add").
- In the coming dialog go over to the tab "Web Page".
- Push "Reload" button and wait while page uploading.
- The loaded page would look like that:

- Mark the heading of the traced information using mouse. In this particular case it is "Doubts Push Stock of UAL Down 31%"
- Push "Build" button. You go over to "Show Result" tab displaying search results according your pattern.
- In case you are satisfied with the obtained results, push "OK" and keep pushing "OK" in column properties sheet.
- If not - then go back to the "Wep Page" tab and try to increase build depth (depth parameter means the number of html tags at the left side of the traced info) and repeat the operation once again.
- While creating the first pattern the output pattern is created automatically. The setting of the output pattern . is describe herein.
- As the result of your operations the following column is made
