After winning a jackpot of nearly $500,000 in July, a fortunate Oxford resident recently hit another jackpot which was $161,534 this time
In August, a lottery player from Greensboro, North Carolina, who decided to buy a ticket out of the blue won a sweet $160,756 jackpot from the North Carolina Education Lottery’s Cash 5 ticket.
This time, a fortunate player from Granville County won his second jackpot prize in two months. Jack Dixon, an Oxford resident, decided to participate in the Lottery’s popular digital instant game, Bison Bonanza. The lucky man, described as a factory worker, purchased a $1 ticket for the Bison Bonanza game. This fortunate purchase granted him the game’s “Epic jackpot,” a win of $161,534.
Dixon visited the Lottery headquarters on Tuesday to claim his prize. The fortunate man said he doesn’t have anything planned to do with his windfall but admitted that he wants to “do something good with it.” Asked how he feels to win two jackpots in the span of a couple of months, Dixon said: “I’m just thankful.”
Considering that lottery wins are subject to state and federal taxes, the fortunate Granville County man’s bank account grew by $115,498. The odds of winning the jackpot from Bison Bonanza are 1 in 31 million.
Before his most recent financial windfall, Dixon won nearly half a million dollars earlier this year. Back in July, the fortunate man purchased a Cash 5 ticket. To his surprise, he won the game’s jackpot, a staggering $487,750. When Lottery officials brought this up, the incredibly lucky lottery player from Oxford said: “It’s kind of unbelievable.”
Bison Bonanza Grants Players a Chance to Win Life-Changing Progressive Jackpots
The North Carolina Education Lottery currently offers 27 different digital instant games. Available for play via the Lottery’s official mobile app, the games can also be accessed through its official website. Digital instant games represent a move from traditional lottery games and provide a chance for life-changing prizes with little bets.
In the case of Bison Bonanza, the cost per play starts at $0.50 and goes up to $30. The game’s overall odds are 1 in 3.59. However, increasing the cost per play grants the players with better odds. For example, while the odds of winning Bison Bonanza’s jackpot are 1 in 31 million per $1 ticket, the purchase of a $2 ticket means that the player is two times more likely to win the jackpot.
Considering the fortunate player’s recent win from Bison Bonanza, the jackpot was reset to $50,000. Since the game offers a progressive jackpot, it will continue growing until a player hits it. At the time of writing, the game’s jackpot is estimated at $229,725.
