NE Group has announced an exciting new partnership with Kenya’s premier sports betting platform, Betika, to launch its popular crash game, Defender.
Defender is a football-themed game that engages players with a unique challenge – they must decide when to cash out before the opposing team scores a goal. This innovative format combines elements of suspense and strategy, mirroring the excitement of live sports.
With this collaboration, Betika’s players across Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and DRC will gain seamless access to the enhanced version of Defender, unveiled earlier this year.
Imran Bukhari, CEO at NE Group, says: “Defender continues to be a fan-favourite thanks to its football-inspired, fun experience that connects with the inner sports fan.
“And giving players the power to cash out has shifted the dynamic and given an increased adrenaline hit to the user.
“Partnering with Betika means we can expand the game’s reach across an important territory for the business.”
Peter Stagles, Betika’s Group CPO, adds: “Football is the No.1 sport in Africa and this partnership enhances our already excellent offering.
“NE Group has cleverly designed a game that will instantly resonate with our football-mad audience, thanks to its fast-paced nature and its ability to place players at the heart of the action.”
