NOVOMATIC announced that it has penned an agreement to acquire Vikings Casinos SAS, a French casino group. The deal is in line with NOVOMATIC‘s ambitious growth strategy and would expand its presence in Europe.
NOVOMATIC Targets International Growth
As announced by NOVOMATIC, the acquisition is still subject to certain regulatory conditions and approvals. If permitted, it would expand the casino giant’s presence in France and Europe as a whole.
Vikings Casinos is based in Falaise and owns over 10 live gaming venues across France. The company is considered to be among France’s leading casino chains and also operates a casino on the famous Côte d’Azur.
The deal would continue NOVOMATIC’s international growth momentum, allowing it to secure a significant foothold in one of Europe’s key gaming markets. The company plans to continue expanding its presence in France and position itself as a local leader.
NOVOMATIC currently employs some 25,300+ people. Since its foundation in 1980, the company has pursued various growth opportunities and now has locations in approximately 50 countries. In addition to that, it offers B2B services to clients in a staggering 120 markets.

In other news, NOVOMATIC recently agreed to divest its Austrian subsidiary, ADMIRAL Austria, to the Malta-based Tipico Group. This sale was in line with with the former company’s strategy to free up resources for international growth, enabling moves, such as its acquisition of Vikings Casinos.
Speaking of M&A deals, Vibra Group just scooped up TSA, a Brazil-based tech company. The online gaming powerhouse Stake.com, on the other hand, recently expanded its footprint in Europe via the acquisition of VinderCasino in Denmark.
