Ocean Casino Resort has announced that it will be investing as much as $50 million this year to continue room and suite renovations, expand its casino floor, and add new restaurants to the property, raising its profile and helping it remain competitive in Atlantic City. This comes as a part of a broader investment project that has been going on for the past several years.

Ocean Casino Resort Focuses on Finishing Touches for Hospitality Offer

The property-wide capital investments planned for 2025 may place a strong focus on the hospitality experience, through the room renovations and the addition of extra food & drink options, but they will also pay close attention to the casino floor, which remains a major revenue driver for the company.

This year’s allocated funds are part of a broader undertaking that will see Ocean Casino Resort spend as much as $270 million over a seven-year period to ensure that it remains one of the top properties tourists want to visit.

Commenting on this opportunity, Bill Callahan, general manager for Ocean Casino Resort, had this to say:

“We are introducing five highly anticipated dining concepts that our customers have been asking for. This year also marks an exciting milestone as we complete the entire hotel with fully renovated guest rooms and suites.”

The planned renovation will focus on new Ocean Blu Rooms & Suites, worth some $25 million, and will serve as the crowning achievement of the long-running transformation—not just of the 559 rooms and suites covered under the current funding but of the complete overhaul of the property’s 1,860 guest rooms.

The property has been working on these renovations gradually, with new rooms unveiled in 2022, 2023, and 2024. To ensure that guests are having a great time on-site, Ocean Casino Resort is also opening two new restaurants in collaboration with Stephen Starr, the man behind STARR Restaurants.

Dining, Food & Beverage and Casino Up for Grabs

Additional food & beverage offerings will be available as well, thanks to the all-new High Steaks venue. To top it all off, Ocean Casino Resort will also focus on the introduction of an expanded Asian Gaming space, which is set to open in the summer of 2025 and is expected to double in size—from 4,000 square feet to 8,000 square feet.

There will be 32 gaming tables, featuring all-time Asian classics such as Mini Baccarat and Pai Gow Poker, indicating that Ocean Casino Resort may be looking to cater not only to regional guests but also to overseas clientele with a preference for these games.

“Ocean continues to invest in property enhancements that enable us to provide an unmatched guest experience not only in Atlantic City, but nationwide,” Callahan wrapped up.
