The Keystone State has continued to forcefully add people over different offenses to the state’s casino involuntary exclusion list
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the state’s gambling watchdog, has added to the state’s casino involuntary exclusion list by banning dozens of people from entering any of the state’s casinos over several breaches. More people were banned under the involuntary iGaming casino list.
People Banned from Physical and Online Casinos in Pennsylvania
The list has already exceeded 1,269 people, with the regulator confirming that it will continue to carry this form of enforcement against individuals. A total of 26 people were banned in the board’s most recent enforcement action.
Some of the people were banned for multiple offenses and across the involuntary exclusion casino list as well as the iGaming involuntary exclusion list
Pennsylvania has been actively looking to punish gamblers who have committed different offenses that merit a strict response from the enforcement body. Four people were excluded over child endangerment, having been found to leave their children unattended to access various gambling facilities.
The PGCB has also acted against the properties that supposedly allowed this offense to take place. In Pennsylvania, the onus is often on casinos to ensure that patrons do not leave children unattended, and this is ensured by frequent patrols at most casinos’ parking lots.
Another nine people were sanctioned and placed on the list over their alleged fraudulent activities using licensed online casino websites. The list includes a man and a woman who left three minors, aged 5, 7 and 9 unattended at a vehicle at the Valley Forge Casino Resort for six minutes.
The adults had entered the property to gamble with the temperature outside reaching 80 degrees. Another man was banned from entering the state’s casinos over leaving an 11-month-old child unattended in a vehicle in the parking garage of the Hollywood Casino at Penn National Racecourse for 45 minutes in 40-degree weather. The person was found inside playing slot machines.
Another man was excluded from entry after they were found to have left a 13-year-old in a vehicle at the Live! Casino Philadelphia’s parking lot.
Offenders Misused the Identity of Other People to Gamble Online
All of this is part of the watchdog’s broader effort to prevent people from abandoning their children or leaving them unattended so that they can go and play casino games or participate in sports gambling.
Another 14 people were placed on the exclusion list over various smaller offenses, that were not explained in too much detail
The regulator similarly excluded eight people by placing them on the state’s iGaming Exclusion Lists, citing fraudulent behavior.
Many of the people put on the iGaming list were charged with misusing the personal information of other people and charged with fraud on top of their exclusion.
