Play’n GO has had a busy year, helping to advance worthwhile causes and initiatives centered around player safety, innovation, and responsible growth. The 2024 report has captured all the relevant steps that the company has taken in that direction, highlighting its significant progress in the 12 months ending on December 31.

Play’n GO Takes a Look at Predatory Game Mechanics and Sustainability

The second report has gone on to analyze different aspects of the company’s operations, focusing on Players, Partners, People, and Planet, combining commercial with social objectives and ambitions. The latest report gave a quick summary of the core achievements along with a detailed account of everything that investors and players would like to find out.

Play’n GO director of CSR Vanessa Arenram had this to add, commenting on the latest results:

“Our second annual Sustainability report highlights how Play’n GO continues to lead with integrity, innovation, and transparency. Sustainability isn’t just a report—it is a deeply ingrained part of our culture and strategy. We’re committed to shaping a responsible, safe, and entertaining future for the industry, and this report illustrates the real progress made possible by the passion and dedication of our teams and partners.”

The company reported 71 billion spins of its games throughout 2024 and confirmed that it had entered 13 markets during the period, along with 56 game releases. A total of 51 million players tried the studio’s games, and the company further completed 181 integrations during that period.

The company similarly released an ambitious Bonus Buy study aiming at better understanding how this specific mechanic could actually undermine player safety and how it impacts consumers negatively by giving them a false sense of control.

Play’n GO has firmly opposed the mechanic in its games and has taken issue with its adoption by competitors using an evidence-based approach. The company received the Tier 2 ESG-C Seal of Approval from the Malta Gaming Authority and defended its ISO27001 license for a fifth year in a row.

Multiple Awards, Reduced Water Usage, and Bright Future

Play’n GO’s ESG efforts have been similarly noticed by the highest industry platforms, including a nomination for a Corporate Star Award for the best ESG Report. The company similarly won the Sustainability Innovation of the Year at the European iGaming Awards.

Play’n GO similarly completed its transition to a “Digital First” culture, which has allowed it to further reduce its environmental impact as well as achieve zero water usage across seven of the firm’s eight locations.

The firm also said that it has been able to strengthen employee engagement thanks to sustainability-focused training, volunteer opportunities, and more.
