TheLotter Group’s fraud and security team identified multiple fraudulent websites pretending to be the courier service. Two of the biggest such domains, namely https://fast-lotter.com/ and https://thelotterlab.com/, have since been taken down. However, the group noted that other fake platforms may pop up eventually.
The company noted that illicit websites often have telltale signs they are not the real thing. Among other things, scam websites often sport low-quality imagery, non-functional features, empty links and poorly written texts.
In addition, scam websites tend to ask for sensitive information, such as banking data, without requiring any account verification.
